Avenue Primary School is a welcoming school where everyone is valued equally in a safe and supportive environment.  It recognises and develops the potential of each and every person, empowering them and giving them the confidence to play a positive role in society.  Our pupils aim high, believe they can succeed, take responsibility for their own learning and develop as independent learners who think carefully and reflectively.

We support the NSPCC Underwear Rule

Tuesday morning

The children went to bed without a problem last night, and had to be woken up this morning! They had a good breakfast and then enjoyed activities - pool canoeing and map reading/orienteering.

After more activities, they will be having lunch, and they are all relieved that the sun is shining!

It's the camp fire tonight.

Tuesday evening

We were hoping to be able to upload some photos by now, but the connection is so poor, you might just have to wait until the weekend!

The message this evening is: We have had a great day, and groups 1 and 2 had a very muddy forest adventure! Miss Kemp, Mrs Lambert and Miss Strugnell were definitely the muddiest! We have had a lovely dinner of pasta and meatballs and are now getting ready for tuck shop, diaries, a quiz and camp fire.

Wednesday morning

We all slept well and had a lovely cooked breakfast! Groups 3, 4 and 5 are off getting muddy at forest adventure, while the other groups zip wire and do high adventure. Another great day planned - glad we had an early night!

Wednesday evening

We have had a good afternoon of activities and groups 3, 4 and 5 loved getting muddy in forest adventure! We are ready for swimming, hot chocolate and a night-walk later.
