Secondary School Transfer

Please note that this page relates to entry in 2017 (current Y5).

Sutton's website relating to school admissions, with all the latest documents and a link for the online process is here. Information for your year group may not always be available early on the Sutton site, hence this page. Please note that you make one application for all state schools (wherever they are) to your own local authority, depending where you live (the one who gets your Council Tax). Deadline is 31st October 2015 (online application opens 1st September).
If you are applying for independent schools, these will be individual applications in addition to your state school choices, and these do not go on the Local Authority form or application.

If you are interested in the destinations of Avenue pupils in 2015 and 2016, these are shown in the presentation (below), and the 2016 data is here.

Entry in September 2017 (current Y5)

Selective schools: If you enter for the stage one test, and do not score sufficient marks, you'll be notified and that's the end of the process. However, if your child meets the pass mark, you will receive emails from each and every school that takes pupils of that gender. For example, a boy will get emails from all the boys' grammar schools. This will invite your child to sit each of the second stage tests (except Wallington County Grammar School, which will not have a second stage test in 2016). The email will assume that you want your child to sit them all, and will ask you to contact them if you don't wish to be considered for that particular school.

Our DfE number is 319 2003

Here are links to specific schools. Please remember to check the schools' websites and local press for information. All dates are in the documents (above) and open evenings were distributed on the blue flyer that was sent home. Please double check dates on the school's own website.
